Coach Nick Spencer
Nick played volleyball when he was 14 at Ampersand in Lincoln. Nick has been coaching volleyball for 10 years total and this will be his 4th year coaching for Jr’s. Nick’s favorite volleyball memory is from when he was younger. His team was given the chance to compete at a higher level than they were used to. Even though they only won one set, they had a blast! Nick’s favorite thing about coaching for Jr’s is that the kids “work hard and are fun to coach! The coaches are great people who have a ton of experience and knowledge to help those around them grow!”
Fun Facts/Misc Info
Growing up Nick’s favorite athlete was Martin Brodeur. These days it is Spencer Schwellenbach. Outside of volleyball and coaching, you can catch Nick at Husker baseball, basketball and football games year round! If he were stranded on an island he would want to have a seaplane, a pilot and gasoline. When Nick was younger, his mother worked at the score’s table for Husker events and would occasionally let him press the buttons. After giving the wrong team a point once, he wasn’t invited back to the scores table.
